About Homeland
Homeland is a one-of-a-kind podcast series tackling the misunderstandings
and myths about how homelessness happens.
LA has become the homeless capital of America, and what happens there ripples across the country. This podcast offers exclusive access to those who not only help people off the streets but also have solutions to end homelessness for good.
Behind the project
As a story and editing consultant, I joined the Homeland team very early in the project development and stayed through its development and ultimately being picked up by PRX.
Since the project aimed to reach diverse audiences—including government organizations, educational institutions, and individuals—I collaborated with the producers and directors to refine the production and editing style so it greatly sharpened messaging, impact, and engagement.
I was also happy to jump in and develop and edit a trailer for pitch meetings, as well as the final audio trailer for the podcast, which was later selected as the Top Trailer on Apple Podcasts when it was released.
